As Crate and Barrel's new flagship store set a new standard for Michigan Avenue retail design, Hanig's Footwear across the street felt the need for a more contemporary look.

Project description:
Riis Borg's millwork craftsmen fabricated display racks, shelving and trim from bleached ash creating a light, airy space. By completing construction in phases, Riis Borg kept the store in operation throughout the project.
