The Feinberg School of Medicine plays a significant part in the vibrant educational and cultural community of Northwestern University, an independent private institution founded in 1851. One of Northwestern’s 11 colleges and schools, the Feinberg School stands out among the nation’s research-intensive medical schools. This was the second major project completed by Riis Borg in the Rubloff Building within two years’ time.
Project description:
• Renovation of the 12th floor at the Rubloff Building
• Complete upgrade of all HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems
• New floor plan consisting of 35 private offices and conference/meeting areas to meet the needs of NU Medical School Executives
Project highlights:
• Coordinated installation of Dirtt pre-manufactured wall systems and Henricksen furniture systems
• Incorporated high-end finishes and material reclamation program
• Extensive coordination amongst school facilities personnel and users
